TruvaLI AI uses the open-source software, models and fonts listed below. Each component is subject to its own licence; licence texts are linked. The owners of these projects are not affiliated with TruvaLI and are not deemed to endorse this service.
Interface and server
- LibreChat: chat interface and application server. TruvaLI AI is an installation of LibreChat configured with the TruvaLI brand. MIT License, Copyright (c) 2026 LibreChat. Source · Licence
- One API: gateway for model requests. MIT License. Source
- Caddy: web server and TLS. Apache License 2.0. Source
- MongoDB Community Server: database; used unmodified, only as an internal database. Server Side Public License (SSPL) v1. Source
- Meilisearch: chat search. MIT License. Source
AI models and inference
- Open-source foundation models: TruvaLI v1.1 (v1.1 Truva) is fine-tuned on TruvaLI data from open-source foundation models, and part of its training data was generated with open-source models. They are used under permissive licences, whose terms we follow.
- llama.cpp (ggml): runs the models on our server. MIT License. Source
Web search and document reading
- SearXNG: metasearch engine running on our own server for web search; used unmodified. GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Source
- PyMuPDF (Artifex): used in our document reading (OCR) component, which turns uploaded PDF pages into images the model can read. GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Source. Under the AGPL-3.0 we provide the source code of the OCR service that uses this component to users who request it: legal@truvali.ai
- aiohttp (Apache 2.0), pymongo (Apache 2.0) and Python (Python Software Foundation License): used in our helper services.
